2020/02/26 We have been working from home for more than a month, due to the coronavirus outbreak. We will also miss a couple of good conferences, TAGC 2020 and ICQG 2020. It is a pity!

2019/10/10 Yafei Guo and Ming Zhang join in the lab!
2019/2/22 On January 22, 2019, the Lu Lab held the 2018 Annual Summary and 2019 Planning Outlook Meeting. The participants in the meeting included all members of the Lu Lab, a total of 13 people.
The meeting started with the reports of two teachers, Changbin Yin and Jing Wang, and went to all the members in turn. Everyone summed up their 2018 harvest and shortcomings, and formulated the new year plan and goals for 2019 and the shortcomings. Where to adjust and improve the program, etc.
At the end of the meeting, Fei Lu conducted an annual summary and a new year plan for the overall situation of the laboratory.

2018/10/26 Edward S. Buckler visited Peking and gave a talk, “Breeding 4.0 - New Ways to Feed the Planet” in Plant Genomics and New Green Revolution Forum of IGDB as well as communicated with 11 Principal Investigators happily. Furthermore, it was a delight to know that Ed was going to have lunch with us students at 11th Floor – Café. He is full of wisdom and a respectable scholar. Welcome !
2018/03/11 Lipeng Kang joins the lab! Lipeng was majored on forestry science, but found plant genetics fantastic. So as a Ph.D. student, his new journey begins.
2018/01/29 Fei gave the talk, "The fall and rise: bringing the long-gone back to life", in a special forum of annual conference in IGDB. The theme of forum is #BiologyChangesTheWorld. Although the topic was not relevant to crop science, the seminar was quite successful. The video is here.

2017/12/31 The 1st Java School in Lu Lab was complemented! The Java School was started at the end of October. During the last two months, all the students learned Java programming by themselves, and had group discussion almost every evening. Now the new generation of agricultural scientists with strong data processing skills start growing from Lu Lab!

2017/12/09 Denise Costich, head of the CIMMYT maize germplasm collection, visited us. We had corn juice together!
2017/10/25 The whole group attended the Agricultural Genomics Conference at Wuhan, which was quite successful and inspiring.
2017/09/28 Lab members planted 4,500 rows of wheat in an experimental farm.
2017/05/03 Jing Wang and Aoyue Bi join the lab! Jing is a talented molecular biologist and wheat geneticist. Aoyue is a highly motivated first year student. Please read their profiles to know more about them.
